Fire suspends Novoshakhtinsk refinery near Ukrainian border
ROSTOV-ON-DON, Jun 22 (PRIME) -- A fire suspended operations at Novoshakhtinsk oil refinery, top oil products supplier in the south of Russia, close to the border with Ukraine, the region’s Governor Vasily Golubev said on a statement in his Telegram channel on Wednesday.
“Work of the plant was suspended. Investigation is going on. After it has been concluded, specialists will evaluate the damage and the possibility of resuming the plant’s operation as soon as possible,” he said.
One of the possible causes of the fire is an attack of two drones whose fragments and pieces were discovered at the plant located in the Rostov Region, he said.
